The Client:
Big Wednesday is a custom surfboard retailer in France. Their goal was to get more of the market by creating a website. Serge, the owner, always has a very clear idea of what he wants to do. Rough sketches, a lot of talk, a 3 hour Photoshop brainstorming session and what you see is the finished product. This website is totally custom built according to the clients ideas. Big Wednesday’s main product is custom made surfboards but they also offer stock boards, used boards and accessories.
The Job:
Our first step was to create an online presence in the large European surfboard market. We set up a Google My Business account which helped with local search. We focused on photos and information about the boards using popular keywords to aid search. We created a custom form that gave the buyers the opportunity to customize their boards. We wrote knowledge articles that would help both the first time custom surfboard buyer and the experienced buyer. We also installed a “Call Button” that shows up on Mobile Devices making it easier to contact.
The Results:
Almost immediately Big Wednesday was getting hits from the keywords in organic search. Both photos and articles were getting visitors. The time spent online was higher than normal for that industry. Phone calls and web inquiries were up %50.
